NOAC 2012 Scholarship

Michigamea Lodge 110 is proud to announce the 2012 NOAC Scholarships. The scholarships are designed to enhance fellow Arrowmen in their everyday life by offering assistance to those attending NOAC, which will strengthen the scout as a person and as an Arrowmen. These Scholarships are not available for assistance in attending Summer Camp or any activity other than NOAC.

The scholarship is based on scout merit and not financial need. The scholarship will be awarded in increments of between $25.00 to $100.00. This year the Lodge has allocated $4,000 to this scholarship fund largely due to the generosity of our members' donations while paying their dues this year.

Chikara Yasuda Scholarship

The Chikara Yasuda Scholarship is given in memory of Chikara Yasuda who served on the Calumet Council Summer Camp Staff at Kishwaukee Scout Reservation. In addition to serving on Summer Camp staff, Chikara was the first international Scout elected into Michigamea Lodge #110.

Because of the excellent qualities and concern for others that Chikara showed, to those of us on Camp Staff with him, and because of his great Scouting abilities, we of Michigamea Lodge offer this fund for a Scout to go to camp because we know Chikara would not want to see anyone miss the excitement of Camp.

This scholarship pays the full registration cost of attending one week of summer camp for one scout in the Calumet Council each year, whose name will be added to the Chikara Yasuda Scholarship Plaque at the council office.

Applications due on May 1st.
