Prairie Dunes District services the scouts of Eastern Lake County Indiana inside the Calumet Council service area. This includes the communities of Gary, Crown Point, Merrillville, Schererville, Lowell, Porter, Schnieder, Schererville, Hobart and St. John. Black Oak, Calumet Township, Cedar Lake,Shelby, South Haven, South Haven (Valpo) Prairie Dunes District is one of the 4 districts that comprise Calumet Council. Calumet Council services scouts in the south suburbs of Chicago and northwest Indiana. From as far east as Winfield and Valparaiso Indiana to as far west as Orland Park and Tinley Park Illinois.
