On Sunday, February 17, 2008, Theodore Atwood joined a very small, but elite group of Scouts that have made a commendable accomplishment. The Boy Scouts of America offers 121 merit badges that may be earned by Scouts before they reach the age of 18. Ted earned his last merit badge, Surveying, with the aid of Mr. Mike Binter ( Naperville, IL ). Ted began Scouting in 1996 as a Tiger Cub with Pack 100 in West Bloomfield, Mi. In 1999 he was one of the first Scouts in Pack 398 in Tinley Park, IL. He crossed over to Troop 380 in Tinley Park in the spring of 2001. |
